Postdoctoral Scientist Position (f/m/d)

full time, hours per week, limited to 2 yearsRemuneration according to TV-L E13

Therapy Development for Gastrointestinal Cancers
We are deploying cellular human and murine model systems including patient-derived organoids to study molecular and translational aspects of therapies relevant for GI cancers (e.g. Advanced Science, 2024, e2307695; Cell Mol Life Sci, 2022, 80: 12; Nature Methods, 2022, 19:803; JCI Insight, 2022, 7: e151353; EMBO Mol Med, 2022, 14:e14876; Cancer Res, 2022, 82:695; Nature Cancer, 2022, 3:318; Cancer Discov, 2021, 11:3158; Gut, 2020, 69:1472; https://chirurgie.umg.eu/forschung/ag-schneider-en/). We utilize these systems to uncover adaptive processes leading to therapy resistance. Consequently, the advertised projects focus on (1) identifying common processes established in drug-tolerant persister cells induced by both targeted and non-targeted therapies, and (2) exploiting this knowledge to develop novel therapeutic interventions.
