We are looking to support our rapidly growing team as soon as possible:
IT Coordinator (f/m/x)
Your tasks
- General IT support for scientists of the Center for Metabolic Research
- Support in the procurement of individual hardware and software and their inventory
- Development and implementation of an IT concept for the building in close collaboration with the uk-it and the Faculty of Medicine
- Second-level support: support, maintenance, and proactive development of the IT infrastructure
- Interface between the Regional Computing Center (RRZK) of the University of Cologne and uk-it
- Installation of new nodes and components on the HPC system, as well as troubleshooting and maintenance of existing nodes
Your profile
- Completed IT training or a comparable qualification andexperience
- You have an understanding of technology and IT and are willing to develop this further
- Experience with IT software and hardware, their replacement, and troubleshooting
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows
- Good written and spoken German; knowledge of English is an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds and varying levels of expertise.
- Ability to work independently, high level of flexibility, resilience, and reliability
- Willingness to actively develop suggestions and ideas, take on tasks independently, and implement projects
