PhD position in a DFG project at AG exprimental opothalmology (m/f/d) (KHS-35805)

This DFG-funded PhD position is the perfect starting point of your scientific career. You will work under the supervision of highly experienced senior scientists in a diverse international team on advanced techniques. The goal of the project is a better understanding of the disease age-related macular degeneration.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• primary cell culture
• immune-hiscochemistry
• ELISA (Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay)
• protein biochemistry (Western blot)
• two-photon microscopy, spectroscopy and fluorescence lifetime measurement

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine or related with a focus on:
• cell culture techniques 
• immunohistochemistry
• advanced microscopy techniques
